We will share some quick tips on what to do for your aquarium in case you lose power during this unpredictable season.
Air Pumps
In case the power goes out, you will want to have on hand some battery powered air pumps. They will keep the oxygen levels up and increase your fish survivability.
Generators
If possible, have a house generator or smaller generator to keep your aquarium running. This will keep the aquarium running as normal hopefully until regular power can be restored.
Feeding
If you anticipate the power being out for several days it is ok to not feed the fish during this time. This will help keep the ammonia levels down and help the fish live longer.
